I started drawing very young. My mom said I was "born with a pencil in my hand." I began drawing professionally in high-school. I drew at at Legoland in Carlsbad, CA. From there I drew at Sea World, CA, all to help pay for my college education. I studied at BYU, and graduated 2016 with a BFA in Illustration. I have traditional as well as digital art in my portfolio, and I love both equally, for different reasons.
I lived in Japan as a little kid. Those were my very first memories of the world. Tokyo was home and I feel like it always will be. I try and share the magic of that wonderful place to all who are passionate about learning Japanese with me.
I am an eternal 7 year old and so it makes sense that people told me: "You should be a children's book illustrator." So, I did! the problem is... I don't try to make stuff for kids, I just make it for humans and I as it turns out, kids happen to enjoy it. I hope it makes their parents smile too, and remember their inner 7-year old, too.
I'm from San Diego and my cute husband and I have a Dalmatian molly paradise in our 2 fish tanks on the kitchen windowsill.
